I can only conjecture as to how much money we have spent on the Iraq war thus far. Various news sources are projecting that the cost could surpass 1 trillion dollars.

I wonder, what difference we could make if we spend 1 trillion dollars on:

Universal health care
Updated books for inner city schools
Paying inner city teachers more to attract educators to the area
Improving public education
Building homeless shelters
